From filmmaker Michael Angelo Covino, Splitsville comes as a clever and chaotic "unromantic comedy" that honestly examines today's relationships. After their 2019 independent success, The Climb, Covino and co-writer Kyle Marvin join forces again to create a film that is both extremely silly and unexpectedly realistic in its discussion of love, infidelity, and the silly rules we set for ourselves.

The movie begins when a couple that appears to be very happy, Carey (Kyle Marvin) and Ashley (Adria Arjona), experience a shocking car accident that prompts Ashley to declare her desire to end their marriage. Heartbroken, Carey turns to his close friend Paul (Michael Angelo Covino) and his wife Julie (Dakota Johnson) for support, only to learn that their secret to a joyful relationship is an open relationship. As Carey pushes boundaries, the lives of the four individuals become tangled in a mix of funny and chaotic situations.
