28 Years Later The Bone Temple

28 Years Later The Bone Temple Fun Facts:

New Director's Vision:
Danny Boyle, who directed the first two movies (28 Days Later and 28 Years Later), is back as a producer, but Nia DaCosta is the director of The Bone Temple. She previously directed Candyman and The Marvels. Nia DaCosta specifically stated that she did not want to copy Danny Boyle's directing style. Her goal was to give The Bone Temple her own unique style within the franchise.

Back-to-Back Filming:
To avoid delays and make the most of the existing production setup, 28 Years Later The Bone Temple was filmed right after 28 Years Later.

Screenwriter Continuity:
Alex Garland, who wrote 28 Days Later, also wrote the scripts for both 28 Years Later and The Bone Temple. This ensures the story and style of the new trilogy movies remain consistent.

A "Weird, Deranged Cousin":
Actor Jack O'Connell, who plays Sir Jimmy Crystal, described The Bone Temple as the 'weird, deranged cousin' of 28 Years Later. This suggests the film will have a unique and possibly darker tone under DaCosta's direction.

Monstrous Human Threat:
The film's synopsis hints that Jimmy and his followers, called 'The Jimmys,' are a terrifying new threat. They show that the inhumanity of the survivors can be more monstrous than the infected themselves.
